Amos’ ANDY
(7 yrs) Andy (stud) was being guided over when he was seven months old. Run’s big, but is extremely biddable. Has his father’s nose and work ethic. Andy has proven himself to be an exceptional hunting dog. He’s lovable and beautiful. |

From left to right:
Saphire, Andy (stud), Queen, Libby
(bitch), and Amos (Andy’s pappy
and 16 years old). I obtained Libby as a two year old last August. I liked her looks and tested her instincts all hunting season. While she’s not yet well trained, I witnessed every natural instinct and ability I want in a guiding dog. Libby has unbelievable stamina and loves the game. |
Two dogs down
is more fun whether you need them
or not! |
Five dogs down
is even more fun—if they are
all trained. |
Andy naturally
backs or honors, retrieves even though
I don’t emphasize the training
of retrieving, has a great nose, lots of bottom, and is very enthusiastic yet will hold a point. He hunts with me and my hunters, not for himself. |
A final note:
while I have to have dogs that hunt
to keep my guests happy, I don’t
see why esthetics and personality can’t also be factors. These two are beautiful, loving dogs and their offspring probably will be also. |
